Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana – PMKVY

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana the Indian Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched this PMKVY scheme for youth. This Kaushal Vikas scheme is ambitious skill training scheme of NDA government.  Under this scheme, Central Government gives skill training courses for different industrial verticals through the concerned training centers

What is the main objective of PMKVY scheme?

The main aim of this scheme is to provide industrial training to the youth. The skill development training is done based on NSQF (National Skill Qualification also Industry led standards.

Under this PMKVY, there is the monetary reward for given trainees on assessment also certification by third-party assessment bodies. The reward will be around Rs 8000 per trainee in PMKVY

Main components of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana:

Recognition of Prior Learning:

A person with the certain set of skills assessed also certificated under RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning). The PMKVY aims to organize and align the competencies of an unregulated workforce to National skills Qualification Framework.

Short-Term Training:

Training centers are provided in this PMKVY to benefit youth (people who drop out from schools/colleges) or unemployed. And also provide national skills qualification framework, Soft skills, Training centers, impart training in Entrepreneurship, Digital Literacy and Financial.

Special Projects:

PMKVY special project component consider the platform that conducts the training in special job roles, the premium of government bodies, training in special areas under Qualification packs (QPs) or National Occupational Standards

Placement Guidelines:

On completing the assessment applicant will place with training partners. They will provide the entrepreneurship assistance in case of self-employment

Continuous Monitoring:

Central Government provides some monitoring programs like call validations, surprise visits, self-audit reports etc to maintain the quality of a scheme

PMKVY Projects Franchise:

The students who are trained at the training centers also provided with some special projects to boost their learning process. These Projects help to encourage in special fields and areas, Corporate or industrial and Premises of Government. And all the projects are aligned the common standards.

Eligibility:

  • Students who have 12th and graduate dropouts can apply
  • To enroll the skill development training program
  • There are the different courses available under this scheme. Youth who are eligible can apply for suitable job sector

For Placement payouts:

  • PMKVY training centers should place 50% of successful certified candidates
  • Under this scheme training centers should make provision for post placement session
  • Training centers should provide the employment letter of the candidate, salary slips or certificates
  • Under this scheme candidates wants to get self employed either getting employed

Required documents:

Applicant needs the following documents to avail the benefits

  • 2 recent passport size photos
  • Aadhar card of any member of the applicant family
  • Applicant base card

  • After selecting the nearest Skill development training center, visit the training center along with your required documents
  • You can get your registration at the Training center. After this, you can get the free industrial training provided by Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana

Note: Candidate record details of training centers, quality of training courses and locations etc details are verified by Skill Development Management system. Video recording and Biometric systems of training process would place where feasible

About Implementation of PMKVY scheme:

Candidates who are under training can also give feedback at the time of assessment also the key element of evaluation assesses of PMKVY scheme. PMKVY scheme is maintained by NSDC training partners and presently, NSDC has 187 training partners over 2300 centers

The main target of this scheme is associated with Union Government flagship programmes like Digital India, National Solar Mission, Make in India and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
