Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Scholarship 2018 – Indian Government, Department of Science and Technology has introduced this Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana for students. KVPY scheme is to encourage students of Basic Sciences, Medicine and Engineering to take up research careers in these areas.
KVPY scheme 2018:
The main aim of this scheme is to identify and encourage students who are talented with the aptitude. KVPY provides the scholarship for the selected students. This KVPY scheme also has the official website for online services
Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore has conducted the KVPY online aptitude test for students. This test was conducted for three different streams such as the SA, SB, and SX

List of marks for each stream:
Stream SA:
- For general: 45 marks out of 100
- For SC, ST: 35 marks out of 100
- For the person with Disability: 35 marks out of 100
Stream SB:
- For general: 43 marks out of 100
- For SC, ST: 33 marks out of 100
- Foe Person with disability: 33 marks out of 100
Stream SX:
- For general: 43 marks out of 100
- For SC, ST candidate: 43 marks out of 100
- For Person with disability: 43 marks out of 100

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Eligibility:
- Only Indians are eligible to apply this scheme
- For the Stream SB person who is pursuing graduate in basic science, they must be in 1st year
- For Stream SA: Candidates who are applying after 10th and For Stream SX: Candidates applying after XII
- The minimum required marks SA is 80% marks for general and 70% for reserved categories in 10th class and 60% (50% for SC, ST) in the intermediate
- For SB stream: Students must score 60% marks for general and 50% for SC, ST in science subject in class XII and in the final exam of 1st year
- For SX stream: Candidates must score 80% marks for general and 70% marks for SC, ST in class X and 60% marks for general and 50% for backward categories in XII class
KVPY Scholarship details:
The scholarships are provided for the Undergraduate or post-graduate students level and the amount of this scholarship varies from year to year
- For 1st year to 3rd year of B.Sc, B.S, integrated MS, M.Sc: RS 5000 per month and Rs 20000 Per year
- For M.Sc 4th year and 5th year of integrated M.Sc, M.S: Rs 7000 per month and Rs 28000 per year
Exam Pattern for KVPY :
The exam pattern for SA, SB and SX stream is mentioned below:
For SA Stream:
- Both Part I and Part II comprises 4 sections like mathematics, Biology, Physics, and chemistry
- In part, one present 15 questions in each section and part two contain 5 questions in each section
For SB/SX Stream:
- Both parts contain 4 sections like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology
- Part I contains 20 questions in each section and Part II comprises 10 questions in each section

KVPY Application Process
Selection procedure for KVPY:
This scheme is done two steps of the selection process like Aptitude test and interview test
Aptitude test:
Aptitude test is conducted in online mode. The exam contains 2 major sections and four subsections. Students must obtain the 75% marks out of total weight age
Candidates must attempt all question is mandatory and the required candidates are attempt any three sections in part I and any 2 sections in Part II for SB/SX
Interview:
The candidates are shortlisted allocated for interviews based on KVPY test center. An interview has a round of questions based on the current affairs, physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics
