Bhamashah Yojana the Rajasthan Government established a new scheme called “Bhamashah Yojana” and it is inaugurated by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for empowering women.
What is the Bhamashah Yojana Scheme?
On this scheme, the eligible beneficiaries are offered government benefits like money directly into beneficiary accounts which help in reducing corruption. This opens the account in the name of women in the family and whatever money provided by the government as subsidies will be directly transferred to their bank account.
The objective of the Bhamashah Yojana Scheme:
- The main purpose of this scheme is financial inclusion, effective service delivery, and women empowerment.
- And also to transfer the financial and nonfinancial benefits to the bank accounts of the citizen in Rajasthan state in a transparent way
- The government also providing Bhamashah card on this scheme and this is made only in the name of women of the family
- And other schemes like MGNREGA, scholarships, pensions, and ration shops are also connected with Bhamashah Yojana from 15 December 2014 on words
Characteristics of the Bhamashah Yojana Scheme:
- To get the Bhamashah Card it is essential to open a bank account
- Bhamashah card holder women are avail to get rations from the PDS shops using a biometric system
- In the scheme, students and handicapped persons will be issued a special card. By which special funding will be given to those who do not live with family
- The entire scheme is commenced in order to transfer the benefit offered by the State Government schemes to the poor women of the state directly
- One and half million women registered in the state of the Rajasthan and open their bank account
- Not only women but men can also get Bhamashah card but they will have to pay an extra Rs 20 or 25
- With the help of Bhamashah card, poor and deprived people also get the facility of medical insurance for treatment amounting from Rs. 30,000 to Rs 3 lakh

- These Bhamashah cards are provided by banks to their account holders in Rajasthan state
- The Bank Account open on Bhamashah Yojana are eligible for Bhamashah card
- This Bhamashah card is like ATM card and it takes 2 – 3 months to get this card

Process to apply for Bhamashah Yojana Card in Rajasthan:
Here this scheme can enroll in 2 ways
- Offline and
- Online
OFFLINE:
- For offline enrollment applicant, camps were arranged in every Gram Panchayat in the rural area
ONLINE:
- For online enrollment, go to the Bhamashah Yojana online portal (http://bhamashah.rajasthan.gov.in/)
- Click on Bhamashah enrollment
- Click on the Citizen Registration
- Fill up all the necessary details like name, mobile number, Aadhaar number, date of birth and more
- After entering all details, upload required documents
- And click on “Submit”
- After successful registration, the applicant should visit the nearest bank of their locality to open a bank account on Bhamashah Yojana
