This National Scholarship portal has introduced by Indian Government under Digital India Program. The main aim of this portal is to provide the details about central, state, UGC and AICTE scholarship schemes introduced each year for students.

The National Scholarship portal is one stop for all the scholarships related online services like student application form, processing sanction, application receipt, and disbursal different scholarships to students. This National scholarship portal works as MMP (mission mode project) under National e-Governance Plan.

Students need to apply scholarships through this portal then they must register themselves compulsorily. Registered users shall provide an applicable application ID to apply any online services safely by students

  • Institute verification form
  • Domicile certificate
  • Self declaration of Income certificate by student
  • Minority community certificate by student
  • Recent passport size photograph of applicant
  • Self attested certificate of previous academic mark sheet
  • Fee receipt for current course year
  • Scanned copy of aadhar card

Steps to apply for National scholarship portal:

  • Visit the official website of scholarship portal https://scholarships.gov.in
  • If you are the new user then fill the registration form

Registration process:

  • Click on the student login section on National Scholarship portal
  • Then click on the “New User? Register” option
  • After that read the display registration and then click on Continue button
  • Then fill all the register details carefully
  • Click on Register button
  • After successful registration, 20 digit temporary registration number will given to applicant
  • The applicant gets temporary registration number on mobile through SMS, when they complete the registration process
  • After successful application process the Permanent ID is generated

Log in process:

  • Then students login with the temporary registration number and their date of birth
  • After successful login enter the applicant required details like
  • Academic details: Here enter the student previous and present academic details
  • Scholarship scheme details: Here list of the scholarship schemes will display on screen
  • Personal bank account details: Here the candidates have to enter their correct personal bank information
  • Then upload all the required documents after selecting respected scholarship
  • Contact details: To complete the application process you have to submit the correct contact details
  • After successful completion of process then take the printout of the application form
  • Applicants also check their his/her application status by “check your status” option

National scholarship portal application form submission process:

Before submitting the application form applicant need to check the entered details once. After submission, candidates will not allow to make any changes in application form. So check the details carefully and submit the form

Process to print the scholarship application form:

  • After successful completion of application procedure, applicant need to click the “print your application
  • Then take the printout of online application form for future use

Steps for renewal scholarship for students through NSP:

Renewals students need to apply their bank account number also date of birth that registered previous year. If in case students can retrieve their ID by using “Forget Registration ID” button
